Sacral Neuromodulation Device
,
This clinically proven solution is designed to help people regain urinary and bowel control through either constant current stimulation or voltage controlled stimulation. A small implantable neurostimulator is connected to a lead that is placed adjacent to a sacral root and the lead delivers electrical pulses which modulate the activity of the sacral nerve. For people with over active bladder, non-obstructive urinary retention, or bowel incontinence there is thought to be abnormal communication between the bladder and the brain. Sacral Neuromodulation is thought to work through somatic afferents in the sacral nerve which modulates spinal and brain control of the bladder and bowel by restoring normal communication between the brain and the bladder and bowel. This stunning animation highlights the features of the device and is suitable for both marketing and education.
